The Public Relations Specialist position works with all facets of the agency's internal and external communications including: researching and writing news releases, public service announcements, posters, agency newsletters, brochures and feature articles; serving as a media spokesperson, providing information to reporters and interviewing for TV news; coordinating social media communications for the agency; managing content for the agency website and internal site; developing and managing publicity campaigns that market internal and external programs and services; answering ABC-related inquires from the general public, and providing talking points for executive leadership.

Minimum Qualifications
Selected candidate must have knowledge of public relations, media relations and development and management of promotional campaigns. Candidate must have excellent communications skills, proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, proficiency with Internet navigation and social media, ability to maintain positive working relationships, set and meet deadlines, manage multiple projects and interact and communicate effectively with the public, media and peers. Experience in internal communications, intranet development and Web content management is a plus. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree in public relations, journalism, mass communications or related field preferred.
