Contributes to PR and communication efforts to help increase Esurance brand visibility with media and the general public. This individual would have a range of responsibilities, and would also collaborate with Esurance’s broader marketing team and other areas of the company to execute communications programs that help advance Esurance’s business objectives.
•Executes broad range of day-to-day PR activities, including pitching media, writing/approval of press materials, content development, responding to consumer inquiries, etc.
•Establishes and manages relationships with select media, develops compelling proactive pitches related to the company’s business, sponsorships and cause-related initiatives.
•Works closely with Esurance sponsorship team to build more awareness of the company’s sponsorships and community and cause-related initiatives.
•Assists with development of PR and communications strategy to gain media attention and build consumer awareness in support of overall marketing and brand development goals.
•Helps incorporate social media into all aspects of Esurance’s business.
•Manages and attends media-related events on behalf of the company.
•Analyzes and measures results of PR programs and communications initiatives.
•Assists with managing external PR resources and outside vendors as needed.
•Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
•Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with both internal clients and customers.
•Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in a self-directed manner within a collaborative team-oriented environment.
•Desire to grow and learn; ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic, creative, challenging and fast-paced environment.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and see them through to completion.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
•Some travel required.
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
•Four to six years public relations experience (in-house or agency) with technology and consumer brands.
•Successful track record of managing PR campaigns; experience placing compelling stories with consumer reporters, bloggers and influencers.

•Outstanding project management skills; tenacity to take assignments to the finish line.
•Solid understanding of the latest social media tools; ability to recognize and take advantage of emerging social media trends.
•Financial services experience a plus.
