The position requires either (1) vocational or technical school beyond High School or a GED and at least two year of security guard or law enforcement experience, or (2) at least an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement. In addition, requires a current: (1) Florida Class D security license, (2) CPR and first aid certification, and (3) Florida driver's license.
Substitution of Experience for Education Permitted (Non-faculty only)
The position assists Security Supervisors in planning and coordinating safety and security activities for the assigned campus. Maintains a safe and secure environment for all persons on College property, as well as protects College property.
Prefer applicants with: (1) an Associate's Degree, (2) at least five years experience in law enforcement, security, or emergency response, (3) working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs, and (4) good communications skills, both written and oral.

This position is open ONLY TO INTERNAL APPLICANTS of Hillsborough Community College. Internal applicants are considered to be: (1) full-time employees in a regular status of Hillsborough Community College who have been in their current position for at least one year or (2) an employee of Hillsborough Community College in a full-time temporary status, who immediately prior was in a full-time regular position for at least one year. This is a non-supervisory liaison position at one of the College's five campuses working primarily on "B" Shift (6:00am to 2:30pm) Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will act as the liaison between the Department of Public Safety and the campus administration, contractors, and guests of the College. The initial assignment will be at the Brandon Campus.
