Purchasing Agent, Beverage is responsible for purchasing all beverage products for the 24 Carnival Cruise Ships, build rapport with beverage vendors and manage logistical coordination.

Responsibilities include:
Maintain and improve business relationships with established suppliers to assure on-time delivery, zero shortages of product, etc.
Monitor and improve supplier performance where needed
Liasion with internal departments, i.e. Beverage Operations to support the vessels and maximize the guest experience.
Define potential future beverage supply alternatives.
Execute transfers as needed from the inventory system.
Perform any duties as requested by Senior Staff. Requirements:
Previous experience purchasing Beverage and/or Bar Operations is required.
Previous Cruise/Hospitality industry experience preferred.
Excellent knowledge of alcoholic beverage products.
Ability to work extended hours and on call for nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
Familiarity with MS Excel, Oracle, Hyperion and CrunchTime.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain/Logistics or related field. Advanced degrees are a positive.
Ability to multi-task across a number of diverse system platforms.
Excellent knowledge of English Language.
Ability to work as a team member.
