Chandler manufacturing company has an immediate opening for a Purchasing Assistant who is responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. We specialize in commercial and military aerospace electronic products. You must be able to pass back ground check and drug screening.

Starting rate 14.00 to 18.00 Hr. DOE: Benefits include paid vacation, 100% Health Insurance Premiums for employee, Dental Option, and Retirement Plan Company Contributions after 1 year service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - including but not limited to:

  • Responsible for purchasing a wide variety of supplies and services at the lowest reasonable

price consistent with required quality and/or delivery schedules, in accordance with applicable
government and corporate regulations.

  • Establishes and maintains effective business relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Prepares purchase order or bid requests.
  • Communicates and follow up with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as

price, availability, and delivery schedules.

  • Reviews order confirmations received from vendors for accuracy and verifies any changes to

pricing quantities or delivery dates.

  • Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers.
  • Performs price/cost analysis as appropriate.
  • Participates with management in continuous improvement activities to ensure compliance with

government and corporate policies and procedures

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of purchasing concepts, practices, procedures and regulations.
  • General knowledge of market trends and supply sources is required
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Project oriented
  • Performs all other duties as assigned


  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to interface, with all levels of management
  • Intermediate ability in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Self-Motivated and ability to operate on your own with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in an AS9100 Certified atmosphere preferred.
  • Must be a team player and take direction well
