ROLE of the
The Purchasing Department is accepting applications for the position of Purchasing Analyst. Primary responsibilities include
preparation of contract documents, issuance of bids and/or requests for proposals; award and administration of contracts and the procurement
of a wide range of goods and services.
A Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited college or university with
one year of related professional experience or equivalent is required. Equivalent related work experience, education, or a combination of
work experience and education may be substituted for work experience and/or education requirements on a year-for-year basis. Candidates must
have a high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office and associated applications. Successful candidates must demonstrate hands-on
experience in preparing, reviewing, processing, managing, and administering contracts, complex bids and request for proposals and have good
oral and written communication skills with the ability to write concise, logical, analytical reports. Investigative and problem solving
skills are required. A thorough knowledge of various procurement policies, including state and federal, contract law, construction practices
and the UCC are preferred. A Professional Purchasing Related Certification such as a C.P.M., CPPO, or CPPM is preferred.
