Job Description Compiles and maintains information and records to prepare purchase orders. Edits purchase requests and prepares purchase orders. Consults catalogs and other references to obtain prices and specifications. Maintains files and records of materials, prices, inventories and deliveries. Performs related clerical duties. May contact vendors and suppliers for quotations, and follow up on outstanding purchase orders. Applies standard formulas to calculate extensions and discount applications. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or equivalent. 0-2 years of experience in position..

Entry level Purchasing Clerk needed to perform day to day purchasing activities. We are looking for an individual with the following qualifications:

  • 1-2 years working in a purchasing environment
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)
  • Purchasing software experience (preferably PeopleSoft)
Duties will include, but not limited to, compiling and maintaining information to prepare requisitions and purchase orders. This position requires good verbal and written communication skills as this individual will be working closely with various internal departments and vendors..
