Responsible for all aspects of purchasing for assigned product lines, including research, analysis, negotiation, and preparation of recommendations related to supplier proposals. Coordinates with internal customers to determine program status, requirements and viability of proposed solutions. Interface with IT department to ensure future departmental automation requirements and current electronic processes are being maintained. Responsible for maintaining commercial relationships, developing and implementing procedures consistent with contractual obligations, and assisting in the resolution of commercial issues, claims, or disputes. Develops and maintains effective vendor management program. Performs all required functions to deliver measurable and tangible results.
