Phoenix-based SRP, the nation's third-largest public power and water utility is recruiting for a Purchasing Contract Analyst.

The position is responsible for major equipment purchases and high level contracting associated with large capital projects, construction projects, project management in the support of the Facilities Services activities. Understands standard and complex contracting procedures as it relates to the sourcing, bidding, evaluating, awarding, and management of construction contracted services. Must understand alternative project delivery methods with legal and operational overview in support of construction excellence. Familiar with CMAR, JOC and Design Build processes associated with general contracting procedures in accordance with SRP purchasing guidelines.

Must have excellent knowledge of construction contracting policies and procedures in support of Facilities projects. Understands standard and complex terms and conditions and able to negotiate and communicate acceptable terms in the best interest of SRP while working directly with Legal Services. Must have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills and the ability to plan, create, and communicate to Management as required. Knowledge of commercial contracting bonding and lien release requirements. The ability to work well under pressure in support of urgent construction schedules. Understanding of the procurement and supply chain requirements that support construction projects.

The Purchasing Contract Analyst position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Materials Management, Finance, Computer Science or related fields. Masters Degree in the above areas desired but not required. Prefer 6 to 8 years experience in high level procurement, contracting, and/or supply chain management position.
