Review all purchase requisitions and initiate processes for purchase. Price out each item on that requisition with competitive quotes, (at least 3 quotes per item). Contact vendors by phone, written communication, e-mail regarding pricing or sealed bids. Review all paper work to be submitted to the Director of Logistics. Maintain an up-to-date vendor list of addresses, phone numbers, e-mail and vendor numbers and contact names. Establish a system that daily tracks any Purchase Order open for more than 30 days and inform the Director of Logistics. Negotiate with vendor and/or representatives and secures best prices for the Agency. Advertise bids as per CHI Policy. Keep update list of bides form all State, County, JMH, Federal, Agencies that may pertain to CHI. Participate in Performance Improvement Committee activities as assigned. Adheres to Confidentiality Policies and Procedures / HIPAA Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelors Degree in Business or Procurement or year for year experience substituted for education. CPR Certification from the American Heart Association (BLS Healthcare Provider) Knowledge of Micro Soft Office 97, Computer. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and all employees.
