Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring that all supplies and equipment necessary for the daily operations of the pharmacy are available, under the supervision of the Director.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs human resources duties to include, but not limited to: hiring, firing, promoting, evaluating, training, etc.
Reviews and maintains inventory supply levels as required. Identifies appropriate order levels, places orders, and monitors accuracy of reordered inventory shipments received.
Ensures that inventory is properly replenished to the appropriate dispensing areas within the pharmacy.
Maintains Purchase Order log and reviews and approves invoices for payment and provides reports for and tracks all Credits (wholesaler and other) and inventory transfers, as required.
Ensures that Customer Returns that are not eligible for credit are properly segregated and identified for shipment to Capital Returns, and that returns that are eligible for credit are immediately returned to stock in accordance with NeighborCare procedures, as required.
Researches and advises Director in identifying opportunities for introduction of new product lines and cost saving plans across existing product lines, as required.

Requirements

Education, Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred
Five years of experience in pharmacy or long-term care setting
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and effectively communicate information orally and in writing
Must be able to professionally deal with both internal/external customers
Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Publisher, etc.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
