This position has a significant focus in procurement and production. Deliverables include order management, supplier relationship management, and cost and supply chain optimization.
Responsibilities
Create and track component and finished goods purchases from vendors
Ensure accuracy of purchase and/or assembly orders
Seek cost saving opportunities
Manage multiple programs/ projects simultaneously
Ability to influence others and recommend process/ workflow improvements
Communicate with multiple vendors on a daily basis, ensuring all purchasing deadlines are met
Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional and external partners
Attend and actively participate in weekly status meetings with external and cross-functional teams
Communicate weekly, monthly, or as needed clear, concise and accurate reports to management and cross-functional teams
Proficient in developing and analyzing reports
Analyzing business requirements, demand and forecast patterns.
Monitor cost of products, work closely with accounts payable to resolve payment issues.
Minimal travel on an as needed basis
Requirements
2-3 years purchasing and/ or supply chain experience required
Undergraduate degree strongly preferred
Proficient with Microsoft office including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Oracle Purchasing experience preferred
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communications skills with team driven, positive attitude
Detail oriented with strong follow through
Sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing tasks
Strong willingness and positive attitude for learning new tools and trouble shooting
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Creative and analytical thinking
Goal and deadline driven work style
Ability to identify problems, determines possible causes, and generates alternative solutions.
