Job Description:
Handles the buying needs for assigned customer groupings. He/She is responsible for ensuring that all products and programs are delivered correctly, in compliance with customer requirements, and in the specified time frame.

Duties include, but are not be limited to:
Purchase order management
o Maintain up-to-date supplier records to ensure vendor codes are accurate for each mill used by any given supplier
o Ensure accurate product set up for Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP)
o Enter purchase orders (after approval) with appropriate mill
o Serve as the primary point of communication for mills throughout the order’s life ensuring timely and correct delivery
o Update and maintain correct information on open orders at all times
o Communicate challenges, as they arise, with all concerned parties
o When necessary, communicate special transportation requirements

o Ensure correct factories are used for production (when factory certification is required)
o Communicate all necessary compliance information to the mills
o Ensure all required testing/inspections/notifications/etc. are secured on time for required delivery time frame.

o Daily correspondence with internal customers and mills
o Daily use of computer (Apprise, MS Office, Crystal Reports) and other general office equipment
