Responsibilities
  • Responsible for analyzing and documenting existing Supply Chain processes.
  • Responsible for working with suppliers, Supply Chain Services peer groups, and Lean Segment/Team to look for ways to make the supply chain more responsive, efficient, and cost effective.
    • An example of this is looking at product refurbishment processes and data sources to improve visibility and to look for ways to physically improve supply chain efficiency.
    • Another example is to look at transit lead times to the distribution center and our garage work centers and determine if they are optimal via tools like economic order quantities.
    • Another example is to model optimal days of supply (DOS) throughout a multimodal supply chain.
  • Will actively contribute and participate in supply chain systems improvements, including but not limited to:
    • SAP APO module use optimization,
    • SAP APO National Forecasting process creation,
    • SmartOps usage.
    • Reverse logistic optimizations
  • Active use of statistical and quantitative methods to achieve the above responsibilities.
Responsible for running and managing various reports through SAP and Supply Chain Transformation system for analyzation on high demand items to ensure that this material is available when needed
  • Depth of expertise in end-to-end supply chains, established effectiveness with managing inventory improvement initiatives with a focus in Supply / Demand Planning, Supply Chain Operations (Forward and Reverse), Inventory Optimization, CPFR processes, and S&OP processes
  • Ability to understand and think strategically and implement long term plans in parallel to day to day supply management, can handle both long term and short term goals simultaneously
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines, manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team-oriented work environment
  • Strong problem solver with ability to resolve conflicts, assertive, good in both written and oral communications with ability to create and deliver presentations for management team
  • Drive continuous improvement; make recommendations for and lead change initiatives around policies, procedures and processes that will improve Supply Chain effectiveness
  • Self-motivated work ethic with a focus on attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and technical skills are required - High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Graduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or related field is preferred , with a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering
  • APICS or CPM certification desired
Desired Skills
  • Developed leadership skills and the proven ability to engage, influence, and develop collaborative partnerships with internal and external partners
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge a plus
  • Previous experience with SAP

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience

  • Will create various supply chain models including but not limited to:
    • Inventory modeling ($’s and DOS),
    • Weekly or even daily inventory walks,
    • Forecasting.
  • Active use of statistical and quantitative methods to achieve the above responsibilities.
  • Strategic analysis on inventory availability to assist the buyer/planner team with appropriate inventory levels that maintain LIA (Line Item Availability) as part of our Inventory Strategy Initiative to reduce CDD Backlog.
