Total Safety is looking for a Purchasing Supervisor, who will be in summary, charged with leading the Central Purchasing organization of this global corporation, including procurement of all direct and indirect goods and services.

Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures such as preferred supplier usage, buying authority levels, procurement standards/ethics, supplier qualification, and approval hierarchies.

Supervise work and activities of staff of buyers; train team members, evaluate performance, and coach areas for improvement.

Build documentation and training for Centralized Purchasing processes and procedures, and lead formal roll-out to all stakeholders.

Monitor and analyze performance metrics, and develop/implement improvement plans based on analysis.

Provide executive management with decision-making information by preparing, submitting, and interpreting regular procurement and usage reports.

Reports directly to Director, Global Supply Chain.

Must have superior communications skills, both written and verbal

Must be a highly organized, creative and self-motivated

Must be able to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

Strong, self-directed technical and analytical skills

Ability to drive change across an organization

Accounting and Bookkeeping background a plus

A minimum of 7-10 years experience in Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain Management, with direct supervisory experience of at least 5 years.

Demonstrated success in leading Centralized Purchasing organization required, with global experience a strong plus.

College degree from a 4-yr accredited institution

Salary is commensurate with experience.

A voluntary program of group term life insurance (and AD&D) is also available to all employees. The employee pays the entire cost of this coverage, if selected. The company offers a 401(k) Retirement Plan, available to all employees, allowing for discretionary company contributions based on profits. The company pays for all administrative costs under the 401(k) Retirement Plan.
