4.0 MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
4.1 Oversee and maintain the Quality Management System and its requirements for ISO 9001:2008 certification.
4.2 Assign and perform internal audits as required by the Standard.
4.3 Address non-conformities from internal and external inspections.
4.4 Conduct Management Review Meetings on a quarterly basis as required by the Standard.
4.5 Identify, follow up and close pending Preventive and Corrective Action requests.
4.6 Oversee and conduct first article, in-process and final inspection of all departments' work orders as needed.
4.7 Ensure all measurement tools are properly calibrated and labeled as needed.
4.8 Perform in a safe manner at all times while adhering to the Company safety policies. Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
4.9 Perform other duties as assigned.
5.0 PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: To perform this job safely, an individual must wear safety
glasses and steel-toed boots at all times, along with other PPE depending on which department inspection is being performed. Additional personal protective equipment will be provided as deemed appropriate.
6.0 EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School degree or equivalent and 1-2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the steel industry is essential.
7.0 TRAINING: Quality personnel will be trained in proper operation of their respective duties, overhead
cranes, forklifts, tool calibration and other procedures as needed.
8.0 WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however earplugs may be required in various departments as posted.
