Responsible for improving and maintaining high quality standards within the Lifeworks software application. Develops and executes a systematic testing approach to determine root causes of issues, areas of inefficiency, and needed product improvements within a specified project. Recommends beneficial and viable solutions for correcting and improving client product configuration. Utilizes quality assurance tools to increase testing efficiency. Acts as an expert in new functionalities and leverages knowledge to fellow associates. Uses QA knowledge to strengthen the scope and effectiveness of internal testing practices. Must be well-organized and have strong technology, communication and problem solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Requirements include:
Minimum 3 years testing experience with a thorough knowledge of effective testing strategies and techniques
Experience working with highly integrated enterprise-scale applications
Experience with system integration testing, including interfaces and web services preferred but not required
Experience working in benefits administration, insurance, or healthcare fields preferred but not required
Experience coding and executing QA Automation Software
Experience testing against relational database gui applications
Adept at writing SQL queries and analyzing data
Strong analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and able to excel in tasks with minimal supervision
University Degree (business or computer science background often makes strong candidates)

Duties & Responsibilities
Develops testing strategies and creates thorough test plans containing all critical testing scenarios for the given task
Actively participates in analysis and test plan walk-through meetings
Tests and certifies defects for bug fixes and new functionality
Identifies potential issues, gathers relevant information, and works with configuration team to get them resolved
Assesses global impact of any system defects to control damage and risk
Executes functional application, regression, and performance tests for new software releases
Implements and utilizes automated testing tools to maximize testing efficiency
Maintains up to date testing environments, including creating realistic test harnesses as needed for integration testing
Writes clear and precise documentation explaining testing methods, problems found, and proposed resolution
Acts as a resource for questions regarding product functionality and testing strategies
