Ensures the release of quality applications and coordinates User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Design, create, implement, and maintain complex testing environments (installation of applications and databases)
•Determine time estimates for tasks to aid in project planning
•Participate in business requirements review, functional specification review, and risk assessment
•Capture metrics for management and status reporting
•Provide detailed descriptions of defects in the defect tracking database and assess their impact and urgency
•Research and answer escalated issues from Support
•Read and interpret technical materials
•Create and execute automated program scripts for testing when required
•Verify that program functions according to business requirements
•Recommend program improvements or corrections to programmers
•Write test plans and test case documentation
•Train users on proper techniques, new functionality and procedures and during User Acceptance Testing works with user to ensure total customer satisfaction with respect to program and product quality and reliability
•Plan, develop, and execute all types of application testing as needed, such as modular, integration, regression and load testing
•Work with the vendors of software and application products, especially with regard to problem diagnosis and resolution
•Compiles and evaluates testing summary and determines future steps of product flow.
•Available after normal working hours to assist in resolving production or implementation problems
Education and/or Experience:
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
LOMA ACS designation; advanced LOMA coursework suggested.
Fundamental knowledge of, or 3-5 years direct experience with, software testing tools. Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) and MS SQL preferred.
