Data QA Analyst
Reston, Virginia USA
Reports To: Senior Director for Product Management, AdEffx ™ Deployment

  • Prototype and write SQL queries to compare various data sets
  • Write test plans from specifications, requirements, and expected and known usage of the product
  • Manage and report on the progress of these test plans
  • Data testing & validation for current and newly developed reporting features
  • Develop a deep technical understanding of the comScore Adeffx product line
  • Provide input on improving/revising existing reports through detailed requirements
  • Evaluate new reporting solutions and prioritize integration of data sources
  • Review of UI and Data design specifications to ensure proper execution
  • Help to improve existing process and document new features & tools based on business needs
  • Bug fix verification and validation
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in database design, warehousing and scripting
  • Strong experience in writing and understanding of SQL, Transact SQL, and functions required
  • Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong understanding and hands on experience with QA processes and methodologies
  • Familiarity with Internet-based consumer market research services (e.g. comScore Media Metrix, etc.)
  • Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript required
  • Must be expert in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
  • Familiarity with Agile development a plus
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
  • Proactive versus reactive thinker who maintains a positive attitude
  • Ability to handle heavy workload, multitask on many assignments
  • High energy, ability to work with a wide variety of skill sets
  • BS/BA Degree in related field
