Ruckus Wireless has an immediate opening for a QA architect. Reporting to QA director and based in Sunnyvale CA, this highly technical position offers a tremendous opportunity to work with a truly talented world-wide QA organization and to play a pivotal role in validating Ruckus’ industry-leading wireless network products for enterprise and carrier customers.

The major responsibilities include:
  • Drive test methodologies across all QA teams for all Ruckus product lines. This includes defining test strategy for each release, providing guidance for test plan and test case development, and reviewing results and progress during test cycle
  • Introduce new test methodology, test process, and test tools for continuous improvement
  • Work with software and hardware development teams to derive test strategy for early defect detection
  • Work with program management team to ensure high quality delivery with predictable schedules
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
  • At least ten years of hands-on QA experiences in networking, at least five of them in people or project managerial positions
  • Recent experiences in leading test process validating carrier- or enterprise-grade networking products, including resource planning, test strategy design, execution and reporting
  • Proficient in networking technologies such as TCP/IP, routing and switching, wireless (Wi-Fi or GSM/3GPP/LTE)
  • Good understanding network topology and deployment scenarios of carrier and enterprise customers
  • Familiar with software and hardware test tools for control and data traffic generation, capture, and analysis
  • Familiarity with test automation will be a plus
  • Communicate effectively within and outside of the engineering team, including the software and hardware development teams, the program management team, as well as the customer support teams
  • Able to work effectively with a truly world-wide QA organization spanning multiple time zones, in often time-critical and customer-driven projects
