Position Summary:

As a key project team member, the QA Engineer will be expected to:
  • Develop and execute test cases
  • Perform black box testing
  • Document, communicate, and track software defects through the tracking system
  • Execute test scripts, both manual and identify variations from expected results
  • Regression test and properly identify potential impacts on other system components
  • Have excellent exploratory testing skills to supplement formal test case development
  • Be self-driven and able to work closely with world-class developers
  • Create and maintain test plans, scripts, and applicable documentation
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A passion for QA with a strong grasp on testing methodologies
  • 4+ years' experience as a QA test engineer
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills and the desire to learn about power system software
  • Ability to use SQL Server to construct and run basic queries
  • Ability to think critically and analyze the proper test procedures for challenging code issues
  • Experience in writing and maintaining test cases
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain focused on a project
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing work demands
  • Experience working in the SCRUM/Agile work environment
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Excellent verbal and written skills including spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and accurately
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to think outside the box and try new ideas
