QA Engineer

At Bitcasa the QA Engineer will accelerate delivery and improve the quality of the Bitcasa product. Your primary responsibility will be to continually drive improvements in our unit, integration, API, and functional acceptance test coverage while working in Django, Python and JavaScript. The ideal candidate lives and breathes test automation. Rather than doing the same manual process over and over, this person seeks out strategies and technologies to automate tedious tasks out of their everyday life. You will also operate and master the test systems used to explore and validate the functional correctness and performance capabilities of the Bitcasa systems, infrastructure, and third party integrations.

Job Requirements
  • Analyze and decompose complicated software systems
  • Execute, and monitor automated test suites during the development process while investigating and debugging test results through deployment
  • Refactor and extend our test automation frameworks and suites as necessary
  • Conduct test automation code reviews and evangelize test automation best practices to the entire engineering organization
Education and Work Experience
  • Familiarity of the underlying architecture of multi-tiered browser-based applications is required, including HTML, JavaScript, operating systems, networking, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, and web browser idiosyncrasies
  • Ability to write effective and reliable automation scripts; and have experience in providing applicable feedback for code reviews
  • Demonstrable experience in more than one programming language
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or 1-3 years experience in a related field
