Specific Job Description AS QA Engineer, this individual will support Supplier Quality and System/Software Quality Engineering activities for programs at Akron, Ohio including F-15 SA Training Systems platform. The selected candidate will interface with Systems, Hardware, Software development personnel, Subcontracts, Integration/Test stakeholders, management and Suppliers. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance to company processes, contractual requirements and technical specifications. This candidate will assist and at times work independently in developing and implementing quality assurance programs, policies, processes and controls to ensure quality products conform to established internal and customer requirements.

Candidate should be willing to perform software and supplier tasks including design reviews, audits, product and process surveillance, testing and product acceptance.

The selected individual will perform QA coordination and serve as a liaison between suppliers, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and Subcontract Management and Engineering personnel. Must be able to engage in Lean / Six Sigma practices and process improvements.

Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.
