We are looking for a talented QA Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles, Ca. office. If you want to work in a fast-paced, creatively challenging high-tech environment, Riot Games is the place for you.

This position is about increasing our pure engineering capability in our QA department, which is fully integrated into the development process alongside developers, artists, and designers. A QA Engineer needs to work with multiple customers (Producers, Development, Business, etc.) to increase the productivity and effectiveness of the team by finding and delivering valuable information. In addition, you will help other members of the team understand how to improve the quality of their work through improved testing automation and tools. We’re looking for computer scientists with a strong passion for improving technical quality and delivery.

Develop tools, infrastructure and frameworks to increase the productivity of the team and add quality to our products

Create automated functional, regression, and stress tests for game and platform features

Help educate and provide leadership on how to leverage existing tools and build their own automated testing solutions

Collaboratively create and execute test plans throughout the development process covering functionality, usability, performance, design and compatibility

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues by working with the entire development team, including adding instrumentation and doing debugger-based analysis

Provide feedback on QA processes and test plans/test cases

A deep understanding of multiple forms of testing including functional, unit, black-box, usability, and stress testing

Experience with developing automated, cross-platform solutions for the above forms of testing

Experience with internal development across multiple code and data streams and how to maintain high quality deployments in such an environment

Strong bias towards data-backed and process-driven decision-making

Experience providing organizational leadership and driving positive change

Ability to develop test cases and test plans

Familiarity with bug tracking systems and processes

Must have excellent organizational and communication (verbal & written) skills

Positive team-oriented attitude

Expert competency in at least one programming language (more is preferred)

3+ years as a QA Engineer including software development work

Eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis

5+ years in games

Experience with Test-Driven Development

Experience with Agile principles and Scrum/Lean practices

Working knowledge of web sites and their functionality

Working knowledge of the downloadable game space including publishing and micro-transactions

Excellent working knowledge of Windows, Unix and Mac operating systems and related hardware

Computer science degree
