Work as team lead and subject matter expert in one or more areas of QA, relevant to the Avaya Collaboration Pod and solutions. By partnering with other QA team members and other external teams, uses technical expertise to focus on one or more of the following: QA processes in verifying Avaya UCaaS, CCaaS and UC Enterprise product line; debugging and/or troubleshooting system level issues; lab planning and implementation; test strategy; test planning; automation tools; transforming manual test cases into automation suites; documenting automation tools for continued use; use case modeling; executing test cases and documenting results; lead continuous quality improvement. Works on multiple projects simultaneously. Provide team with technical leadership in verifying virtualization, storage and networking project areas. Demonstrates deep understanding of Avaya Collaboration Pod quality metric impact. Develops technical solutions and build instructions for manufacturing and training. Typically requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 3 years experience at the Engineer Two level or 5 - 8 years total experience.


Mandatory hands-on skills:

  • Leadership skills, self directed and able to guide and mentor a team of engineers
  • Ethernet switching (multilayer) configuration in a data center
  • VMware DRS,HA, distributed virtual switching,
  • Linux systems administration
  • Network attached storage over iSCSI or Fiber Channel
  • Cable plant management (power distribution and networking)
  • Desired (working knowledge):

  • EMC VNX and VNXe storage platforms
  • Network attached storage over FCoE
  • H.323 and SIP protocols (Voice and video over IP)
  • Avaya Aura deployments
  • OSPF routing and IP gateway redundancy protocols
