Responsible for not allowing a Severity 1 or unknown Severity 2 issue to make it to Production.

Will conduct the necessary test both positive and negative to validate new code does not introduce a Sev1 or unknown Sev2 issues into the production systems or programs. The QA Lead will be graded VERY heavy on this priority. There is a Zero tolerance factor on this priority.

  • Works with QA Director, Project leads & Tech Lead on test planning and acceptance criteria.
The QA Lead is expected to work closely with the QA Director and Project Leads & Tech Leads during their day to ensure they are defining and discovering all the necessary information for successful test planning and acceptance criteria for rollout of releases.

  • Helps to maintain & uphold policies, procedures and Processes of QA Dept.
During the execution of their daily job functions the QA Lead should keep a watchful eye on all process’ being used to ensure they meet or exceed the QA Departments Policies & Procedures.

  • Attends meetings and executes duties in a timely fashion as directed by Moxie policies and the QA Director.
Will be required to be on time and present in required meetings set by manager unless excused for valid reasons. Will be required to follow Moxie policies and execute duties in a timely fashion or as directed by the QA Director.

  • Reports on a timely basis any issues or problems to appropriate managers for resolution.
When issues or problems are discovered You are required to report these to the QA Director and other appropriate managers to help resolve the issues as quickly as possible.

  • Ensures deliverables meet deadlines and acceptance criteria set by QA Dept & or Test Plan.
Will be held responsible for making sure a release meets the designated deadline and meets the acceptance criteria as defined in the test plan or the QA Policy. Will ensure the rollout has followed the proper process from beginning to end.

  • Must be able to work directly with AL, PL,BA, and Tech teams to fully understand product behavior.
Must be able to work with AL, PL, BA and Tech teams to understand and fully define the testing requirements and product expectations. When there are questions that need answered, get the answers and develop a complete understanding of the product.

  • Conducts test & reviews to ensure product readiness .
Will conduct Readiness reviews, UAT reviews, requirement reviews, defect reviews & rollout reviews prior to product or code deployment to Production Environments.

  • Ensures defect reviews occur and defects/bugs are resolved.
The QA Lead should be managing the defects for the projects for which they are assigned.

  • Facilitates sign offs on the necessary documentation.
The QA Lead will be responsible for getting all required sign-offs from responsible parties prior to a production push.

  • Schedules and directs release readiness meetings.
Prior to a release it is the responsibility of the QA Lead to conduct a pre-release readiness meeting. This will help facilitate a smooth and error free roll-out. By informing all parties involved of their responsibilities and answering questions that may come up.

  • Delivers the appropriate templates and other planning documents to the appropriate team members.
The QA Lead will ensure the team members are utilizing the proper documentation & templates as defined by the QA Department.

  • Maintains policies and procedures of QA Dept.
During the execution of their daily job functions the QA Lead should keep a watchful eye on all process’ being used to ensure they meet or exceed the QA Departments Policies & Procedures.

  • Maintains documentation to standards set by QA policy & procedures. (test plan, test scripts, etc.)
Will complete all required documentation as defined and set by Mansfield Oil’s QA Department’s policy and procedures.

  • Communicates with QA Lead regularly on test execution status & issues.
Communicates as necessary & as directed with the QA Manager and or QA Lead. Updates will include status on testing and or any current issues.

  • Conducts test in a timely manner to ensure product readiness.
Will manage time so testing is done in an efficient and timely manner ensuring delivery dates and expectations are met or exceeded. Will notify manager immediately when there are any issues or roadblocks, stopping the successful execution of test placing the expected date in jeopardy.

  • Must be able to work directly with development team to fully understand product behavior & technical aspects.
Will work closely with the development team ensuring there are no gray areas or questions about the program, product or code.

  • Will open, edit, maintain, and close a defect report using guidelines set by the QA Dept.
As defects or issues are found the QA Analyst will enter them in the designated defect tool or system as directed by manager. Once a defect or issue has been identified the tester will monitor the defects or issue and ensure they are getting resolved or responded to in a timely manner. QA Analyst will notify the QA lead when a defect is not getting the proper attention.

  • Reports test, defect results, and status to QA Lead or manager.
Will report status on defects to the QA lead or manager. The QA Analyst will be graded on proper usage of defect tool, age of defects, types of defects, completeness of defects and turn-around of defects.

  • Ensures defect reviews occur and defects/bugs are resolved
Will be responsible for ensuring defects do not sit and become stale without a valid reason. Will conduct meetings with necessary parties to determine and maintain progress with defects or issues.

  • Must be able to predict test requirements and produce them with limited documentation & supervision.
The QA Analyst must be able to product testable test cases & test scripts with little or no documentation or supervision. Must learn the systems they are responsible for and become the QA guru of said systems.

  • Attends meetings as directed by QA Lead.
Will be required to be on time and present in required meetings set by managers unless excused for valid reasons. The QA Manager is the only one who can excuse you from a required meeting.

Requirements:
  • Must be available non-standard hours for testing deadlines.
  • Create and submit manual & automated test scripts to QA Lead for approval.
