Legg Mason's technology team is seeking a Lead Developer Analyst in the Stamford, CT office. Depending on the candidate, the person could also work out of our Baltimore, MD office.
Essential Functions include:
Key Responsibilities and Duties Include, but not Limited to:
' Manage day-to-day QA testing activities, including onshore/offshore resources.
' Establish & implement QA Testing standards, policies, and procedures.
' Implementing and ensure best practices and standards for automation development.
' Work with business and IT project team members to obtain required inputs for QA testing (project efforts/resource estimation, business requirements, test plan/case design, test data, etc.)
' Manage day-to-day automation project activities, covering creation & maintenance of test automation plans, test framework, automation tools & scripts.
' Analyze application, test cases, test data and design automation framework, processes, checklists, and templates
' Coordinating team of testers both onshore and offshore to conduct system, integration, performance, and regression testing, metric & reporting, post mortem activities.
' Training & Development of QA testing staff.
' Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
' Experience with developing and implementing manual/automated testing best practice/standards and guidelines
' Expert knowledge in designing, implementing and maintaining manual testing, methodology, test artifacts, test execution & reporting
' Ability to deliver documents like Testing Strategy, Test Plans, Reports etc. with high quality
' Strong understanding of SDLC, and expert in CMMi/TMMi methodology
' Expert knowledge in designing, implementing and maintaining test automation, test frameworks/solutions
' Experience with standard QA vendor testing offerings (such as HPs Test management tools, Selenium etc)
' Experience with developing, documenting and implementing complex multi-program data driven functional/regression test strategies using QTA/QTP, other test automation toolsets
' Expertise in Quick Test Pro (QTP) and Quality Center (QC), design and implementation of test frameworks
' Expertise in QTP scripting language, and proven ability to read and code SQL,Visual Basic and C, ability to query backend database run data compares/validation
' Experience in mapping requirements to test cases and the ability to come-up with ideas to enhance the existing process
' Participation in or leading the design and development of automated implementations of tests using appropriate test harness Experience creating test data sets using database command line utilities and tools
' Experience with complex build processes integrated with automated testing and QA reporting
' Ability to analyze metrics, provide analysis and conduct Post Mortem discussions, including recommendations for process improvement.
' Proven team player with strong interpersonal skills possessing a demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects with varying priorities
' Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical
' Ability to adapt to a changing environment
' Proven ability to support software engineering life cycle (requirements analysis, design alternatives; detail program specifications, test plans, test case scenarios, etc)
' Effectively work in a team environment and adjust to dynamic schedules
' Strong ability to work with individuals based across multiple locations/time zones
