The role requires working with a wide range of stakeholders and on site and off shore development teams.
The QA manager is accountable for assessing and assuring overall product quality for the medical product line.
The QA manager is also responsible for QA strategy, roadmap, reviews and approval process for feature/functional, system, and test strategies. The QA manager will also be responsible for setting and/ or improving QA processes, working in conjunction with cross functional teams.
The QA manager will collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure that the quality of the software matches the requirements and provides value to our customers and partners.
A major part of your responsibility will be to provide direction and supervision to the team of Engineers responsible for:
Gathering test requirements
Developing, implementing and executing test plans
Develop and implement new projects, policies and procedures for the department(s); and ensure that project goals are met.
Utilize previously acquired technical experience to become actively involved in day to-day projects to meet schedules and resolve problems.
Take responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing. Qualifications:
8-10 years experience in software required and 1-3 years of experience managing Software Quality Assurance/Test teams required (or equivalent)
Working knowledge of software QA & development practices, tools, and automation methods, bug tracking tools and application for enterprise level software platforms.
Understanding of bug life cycle, having experience reporting, regressing, and reproducing application issues with one or more bug tracking tools.
Must be able to effectively collaborate and work cross functionally, able to adapt to a fast paced environment with rapidly changing requirements.
BS or equivalent work experience required.
Experience working on Agile software projects is a plus.
Working knowledge of speech recognition software
