Bachelor’s degree in food or related sciences (chemistry, biology, etc).
Minimum 5 years experience as a QA Manager in a high-speed multi product lines facility, preferably USDA inspected.
Bi –Lingual [English and Spanish] a plus
Knowledge and passion for the food industry
Strong Leadership and communication skills.
Analytical and High level of attention to detail required
Self Motivated and high degree of initiative
Experience with creating and managing a HACCP Program.
Experience in a complex (Union) operational environment
Must be flexible in challenging and complex work environment while firmly maintaining compliance and upholding standards
Ability to conceptualize practical quality and safety solutions to complex operational systems.
Whitsons Culinary Group is presently in search of a QA Manager for our Islandia Culinary Center. This position requires a detail focused and team oriented individual to support our Manufacturing Division. The chosen candidate will be reponsible for the following:
Overall responsibility for all quality food safety and development of new products relating to items at the plant. Also responsible throughout the supply and distribution chains.
Manage the function of the Quality Assurance Team members, Supervisors, Chefs, Dietitians & QA Technicians.
Develop, Review, implement and maintain the HACCP Program, Sanitation Programs and Suppliers’ Approval and Auditing Procedures.
Manage the daily, weekly and monthly audits of quality, safety & GMP’s. Oversee and document the implementation of all remedial actions required.
Proven knowledge and experience with prep and successful completion of all industry 3rd party auditing processes.
