Description of Duties

Website testing specialist to ensure a consistent and excellent user experience on Nintendo's online properties. Specialist will be responsible for working closely with producers and developers to understand the agreed upon functionality, how it will work, and create test cases to fully exercise the functionality.

Develop and refine test plans and cases

Full understanding of site functionality to formulate efficient strategies for testing site features

Quickly and methodically detect and log issues and track their progress and completion

Ability to deliver high quality, low to zero defect releases

Communicate effectively with developers about issues uncovered during testing

Conduct tests on multiple browsers on multiple platforms including desktop, mobile, and Nintendo devices

Document and build product knowledge bases

Work closely with producers and web developers in the pursuit of excellent customer experiences

Summary of Requirements

2+ years of web QA or related experience

Experience with bug tracking tools or ticket system

Experience with debugging and validating web analytics tags (Omniture, Google Analytics) is a plus.

Experience with debugging tools such as Google Chrome's developer tools, Firefox Firebug and HTTP Fox is a plus

Strong understanding of browser capabilities

Must have worked in positions which have site and product releases on a frequent basis (at least twice per month)

Be meticulous including proofreading skills and ability to see minute details

Must be extremely organized to track tickets on multiple projects at once

Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent.
