We are currently seeking a dynamicQC Technician Lead. This indiviual will be responsible for planning and coordinating the actions ofthe QC Team, inspection of products to ensure adherence to established productquality standards for new and re-certified VIZIO products. Effectively identify, report, monitor issuesand communicate risks to the Product team and suppliers. In this lead role, the lead will respond tocustomer correspondence and internal teams concerning quality issues and reportthe results of failure investigations. Regularly summarize the overall product quality performances and reverselogistics (product returns and defect rates). Works closely with the suppliers and product development teams toidentify potential issues, coordinate corrective actions and monitor theimplementation and effectiveness. The QClead has supervisory responsibilities for the QC team as well as individuallycontributing to the team's efforts.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Leadership by example and contribute as a resource

  • Team coordination and management

  • Develop and maintain product inspection criteria for various product types

  • Ensure quality systems are implemented and executed by the suppliers (finished goods, in-process testing, audits)

  • Communicate and highlight quality issues internally and externally

  • Interface with supplier organizations to improve product/process quality

  • Collect, document and track product quality issues

Incoming product audits (IQC)
  • Prepare reports, summary and documents for internal as well as external customers

  • Review and enforce QA NPI process

  • Support resource for special projects

Supervisory Responsibility: Oversee the QC team

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Ability to lead by example and team oriented

  • Experience with conducting audits and product inspections

  • Problem solving skills

  • Experience in reverse logistics

Minimum Education required:

High School Graduate (4 year degree preferred)

Minimum Experience required:
  • 3 years of QA/QC experience in consumer electronics

  • Leadership experience

  • Customer and or Technical support experience

  • Reverse logistics experience is a plus

Language Skills:
  • English

  • Mandarin Chinese is a plus
