We provide consultancy services across a wide range of disciplines and facilities covering offshore, terminals, refineries, petrochemical plants and pipelines, and work on some of the most exciting and varied projects in the sector with a proven track record of providing quality technical support.

As a QSE representative, you will be responsible for working with the business to improve, develop and maintain QSE plans and policies.

We are looking for a QSE Rep with the following attributes in our Houston office.

Job Details


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar with two years experience


An equivalent level of competency resulting from a combination of education, experience, and abilities. -

Without a degree, this is typically reached through a minimum of ten years experience in progressively responsible administrative work

Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills

Candidate must be able to deal with a wide range of people within the company and externally

Candidate must be well presented, have good communication skills and be able to cope under pressure

Candidate must be highly computer literate (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint) as producing and formatting documents for the team will be required

The proven ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

Preferred candidates will have a knowledge of the oil and gas industry

Preferred candidate swill have a knowledge of ISO9001-2008, ISO 14001-2004, and OHSAS 18001-2007


Maintain Business Continuity and clear communications with various locations internationally

Promote culture awareness and compliance to ISO & OHSAS standards

Ensure the Americas Energy business management system is in line with the wider Energy group

Assist in bid activities related to Commercial ensuring that the information provided is up to date on BMS forms. This includes maintaining all management systems (QMS, SMS, & EMS) in accordance with local and international regulations

Submitting formal monthly reports on all QSE activities and updates on QSE P&L

Able to introduce all new hires to the Atkins QSE management systems in a high level manner suitable for the new hires position

Able to perform objective internal audits on all business management systems/processes (e.g. QMS, SMS, & EMS) and projects

Able to clearly communicate findings and root causes to top management in a concise report

Has demonstrated experience communicating Annual Management Review meetings in accordance with ISO 9001

In addition to QSE, as part of ISO9001, the chosen candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to implement value adding business improvement activities within budget and schedule.
