Position Summary
The person in this position will work with the MIECHV evaluation team and the MIECHV common intake team to design and implement a qualitative research project concerning the common intake process. This position will report directly to the Arkansas Home Visiting Network director for day to day supervision. However, they will take direction for the development and implementation of the qualitative research project from the lead MIECHV evaluator. The person in this position will work with the evaluation team to develop the tools for performing data gathering, implementing data gathering and for analyzing data received from the research. This person will be responsible for keeping the project on task and for maintaining the quality of the project.

Position Duties

1.
Develop Qualitative Research Design
  • Work with MIECHV evaluation team to develop a detailed plan for the qualitative common intake research project.
  • Work with the MIECHV evaluation team to develop and test a discussion guide for the data gathering.
  • Work with the MIECHV evaluation team to identify families for the research and to identify best methods for obtaining qualitative data.

2.
Implement Qualitative Research Project
  • Plan and prepare for interviews and meetings.
  • Complete all interviews, focus groups and/or surveys.
  • Compile all data received from the interviews, focus groups and/or surveys.

Analyze data from Qualitative Research Project
  • Identify and establish method and means for analyzing data,
  • Enter data into the identified system for data analysis.
  • Prepare data for analysis but coding or sorting data.
  • Analyze data according to research plan.
  • Work with MIECHV evaluation team to prepare a written report of the analysis based on the project needs.

4.
Other MIECHV project related duties.
  • Participate in the implementation of other MIECHV common intake sites as needed.
  • Participate in other MIECHV evaluation and Continuous Quality Improvement activities as needed.
  • Participate in MIECHV and Arkansas Home Visiting Network activities as requested.

Position Qualifications

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university Field of Study: Research, Business, Psychology, Anthropology, or Social Work.
Required

Master's degree or equivalent degree Field of Study: Research, Business, Psychology, Anthropology, or Social Work.
Preferred

Experience Requirements

3 years performing qualitative research and applying qualitative research techniques experience
Preferred

3 years moderating various types of qualitative research methods including in-depth interviews, focus groups and online surveys or bulletin boards. experience
