Portfolio Management experience and knowledge is necessary with a good understanding from a process viewpoint

The role designs and develops processes and/or workflows to improve our IT organization's capabilities and manage IT's enterprise methodologies. The role is expected to follow a standardized approach to delivering processes and/or workflows which are used by the IT organization to deliver services to our internal customers.

Essential Functions of the Job:
Perform analysis to define the requirements needed to support the delivery of a process or workflow:

  • Contribute to current state analysis including conducting interviews with stakeholders and analysis of data
  • Elicit and specify business needs from the identified stakeholder group
  • Support the preparation of workshop approaches and materials
  • Present information to stakeholders for validation in one-to-one, small group and workshop settings
  • Apply the standard toolkit to deliver work products consistent with internal standards and guidelines
Design process or workflow to support the requirements:
  • Collaborate with content subject matter representatives and content owners to design enhanced or new processes and/or workflows
  • Document and maintain register of design elements
  • Create/modify appropriate analysis diagrams to support design activities
  • Facilitate discussions to validate content in one-to-one, small group and workshop settings
  • Manage requirements to ensure delivery of a solution which meets the needs
  • Apply the standard toolkit to deliver work products consistent with internal standards and guidelines
Deliver process or workflow to the IT organization:
  • Develop content to be used as an enabler to the process or workflow including templates, guidance, etc
  • Perform validation of content with content reviewers
  • Collaborate with the transition team to support deployment activities
  • Apply the standard toolkit to deliver work products consistent with internal standards and guidelines
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
The process/workflow engineer will:
  • Obtain and report status on assigned tasks
  • Adhere to the change control processes
  • Escalate issues encountered appropriately
  • Notify senior engineer of variances from plan and identify changes in scope of work
To qualify, candidates must have: a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience approximately 8-10 years of project management and supervisory experience in support of IT products extensive knowledge in end computing applications, PC Workstation applications hardware, Internet browsing tools, Networking, Telecommunications, technology certification, and ESD ability to prioritize and succeed on multiple projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced and highly challenging environment excellent management, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills ability to work and team effectively with clients and other management personnel
