Performs all aspects of hospital wide performance improvement activities. Acts as liaison to Medical Staff Peer Review committees. As liaison to Peer Review Committees, reviews charts for Mortality and Morbidity, performs Operative and Invasive Procedure review, reviews hospital acquired conditions and patient safety indicators, and evaluates identified quality issues. Participates in hospital wide initiatives in support of regulatory and accreditation process. Abstracts clinical data for regulatory studies. Recognizes and investigates all high risk occurrences , develops plan of correction accordingly.
NJ LIcensed Registered Nurse required; At least 3 years Medical/Surgical nursing in an acute care facilty required; Experience in quality improvement/performance improvement preferred; Experience in data collection, analysis, presentation preferred.
