Assures accurate and timely information is provided to customers
Uses standard operating procedures
Establishes a data dictionary
Routinely validates data sources and outputs
Uses a variety of data sources effectively
Maintains and advances knowledge of Patient Safety Net (PSN), Verge, Quality Data Application, Behavior Based Expectations Data Application, Sentinel Event Database, QIP/Press Ganey, HealthStream, and MedMined
Mines EHR data to proactively identify performance improvement needs
Adheres to department audit methods to assure data integrity and that systems are working appropriately to meet customer needs
Forms collaborative relationships to assure timely and accurate access to data
Uses project management tools to communicate effectively with groups and individuals regarding publicly reported measures
Extracts data from various systems including HealthSpan, Customer Relationship Management, Eclypsis, etc., using reporting tools such as WebFocus and Crystal Reports and is able to problem solve data process/flow issues
Summarizes large data sets into actionable information, submits data to external parties on a regular basis
Prepares a variety of reports
Displays data using control charts, graphs as well as other quality tools
Measures and reports performance on a variety of patient safety, quality and experience indicators; helps to design proactive reports to meet future reporting needs
Participates in preparation of the monthly quality scorecard

Analyzes local, state and national trends in performance
Maintains and advances knowledge of benchmark sources
Supports VH public reporting of data and value based purchasing financial analysis
Performs business plan and request for proposal quality analysis
College degree (4 years) majoring in Information Systems, Decision Science, Business, or Public Health required.
One to three years experience in financial services, information services, or planning required.
Proficient in various MS Office software.
