REPORTS TO: Chief Strategy Officer

LOCATION: Reston, VA

Job Description:

Content Analyst Company is currently searching for a talented, experienced, and enthusiastic Product Manager to join a team passionate about leveraging analytics to create better solutions to information rich problems. This position is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements
  • Define the product vision
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans
  • Formulate product design specifications for development
  • Be part of the sales process
  • Keep the management team up to date on product status and key deliverables

Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and be extremely well organized
  • Ability to articulate product development recommendations within a business context
  • 5-7 years in Product Management or related skills, including:
    • Product development lifecycles
    • Market research/analysis
    • Competitive benchmarking
    • Strategic planning
    • Development of functional requirements
    • Product pricing, positioning and branding
    • Design and maintenance of project plans
    • Software implementation
  • Passion to motivate others on the vision and possibilities the product line enables
  • Understanding of the OEM and/or embedded software business
  • Have done programming for 2-3 years
  • 3+ years in text analytics, information access, searching or similar technologies
  • Understanding of Information Services, eDiscovery, Compliance, or similar markets
  • Strong communications skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to handle frequent change under deadline pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Bright, energetic, collaborative and goal driven personality
  • Bachelor's degree in CS preferred
  • Travel up to 25% may be required
