Responsible for developing, managing and executing test plans, test scripts and procedures to ensure that all business and system requirements are met. Responsible for working with the offshore testing team to verify that standards and procedures are complied with, clarify requirements and issues, review test scripts and test results, and manage test cycles to ensure that deliverables are made in timely manner and are of high quality. Assists and guides customer’s testing as needed. Responsible for managing defects from identification to closure through the Software Development Life Cycle. Should be able to sign off on a release independently.

Key Responsibilities:
Define, develop, maintain and execute manual test scripts to ensure that user and functional requirements are met. Test and Sign off on a release independently
Determine test objectives by reviewing requirements and specifications
Coordinates with offshore testing team in clarifying requirements and issues, review test scripts, manage test cycles, to ensure that deliverables are made in timely manner and are of high quality.
Manage defects through defect tracking tool from inception to closure
Define, develop, maintain and execute automated functional/performance test scripts
Set up and maintain test environment and test data. Works with the customer to assist their test plan development

2+ years experience in software and/or program testing.

2+ years experience in Software Quality Assurance. Knowledge/experience in the healthcare industry preferred. Knowledge of Risk Management & Statistical Analysis is a plus.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills
Must be familiar with established QA standards and procedures.
Strong communication skills for technical specifications, system documentation and on-going client support.
Strong knowledge of testing concepts, verification and validation techniques, defect management, quantitative methods, risk management and measurement programs.
Must have a strong penchant for quality, paying attention to details, with ability to take point of view of customers and end users.
Automation experience developing automated test scripts using Rational Robot & Test Manager (functional and performance tests).
Working knowledge of defect tracking, quality principles and testing tools.
Experience in testing in a client server and web environments.
Proficient on Microsoft Office suite.
Working knowledge of developing and executing SQL queries.
Working knowledge of test engineering methodologies.
Basic programming knowledge.
Knowledge/ experience in the healthcare industry
Experience with Linux/Unix/Windows server operating systems

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
