QSSI is looking for a QA Analyst to join our rapidly growing company Headquartered in Columbia, MD.

The QA Analyst is an integral member of the Quality Management Office (QMO) and is fully allocated to support a federally-funded agile, development project.

The QA Analyst also supports the development, implementation, and institutionalization of project and organizational processes.

The QA Analyst will be tasked with working closely with the assigned project in developing and implementing agile development processes in a CMMI for Development (CMMI-DEV) environment.

The QA Analyst collaborates with project management teams, validating that products are compliant with contract requirements, QSSI processes and procedures, CMMI models, and project-specific processes and procedures.

The candidate is expected to have a thorough working knowledge of implementing CMMI-DEV in an agile development environment.

Required Skills

The Sr. QA Analyst must have experience implementing CMMI generic and specific practices in an agile development environment; and must possess the following skills:

Experience conducting process training sessions

Experience supporting or facilitating SDLC gate reviews

Experience writing various management plans

Experience performing CMMI-based process audits

Experience conducting document reviews

Experience mentoring and coaching teams and peers in quality methods

Experience meeting with and facilitating management reviews of quality activities

Can-do attitude- this person must be hands-on, not just evaluating the quality processes currently in place, but helping the project achieve compliance. Must be flexible, and can work with many different layers of management and project teams

Experience setting up and using an electronic process asset library (SharePoint) to store organizational process assets and best practices that are used by team members to improve performance

Experience managing tasks using MS Project and reporting status to senior management

Required Experience

BA or BS in Business, Information Systems, Engineering or a quality- related field

Minimum 8 years’ relevant quality assurance or process improvement experience supporting IT projects; agile development preferred

Minimum 5 years’ experience implementing or applying CMMI for Development

Candidate must have successfully completed CMMI Institute-sponsored " Intro to CMMI-DEV” course; and be able to provide a Certificate of Completion.
