The Quality Assurance Engineer designs and installs quality control process systems, procedures and statistical techniques; designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanism and equipment; analyzes production limitations and standards; recommends revision of specifications when indicated; assists in formulating quality control policies and procedures; develops the economics of any quality control program when required.

DUTIES

Participate in development and implementation of new and existing programs through APQP process

Evaluate and maintain the company quality program for compliance to customer standards and leading efforts to exceed expectations

Assist team members in cross functional teams as required

Product and process analysis with the ability to recognize and recommend new and emerging technologies and methods

Interface with customers and suppliers on quality issues

Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the supervisor

Complies with the following OSHA Safety Standards: Hazard Communication; Bloodborne Pathogens; Lockout; Permit Required Confined Space; Hot Work Permit; Powered Industrial Trucks; P.P.E. and Ergonomics

When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job

May oversee operations of the quality department personnel

Knowledge

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
