Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procedures, processes and methods promoting problem prevention techniques and continuous improvement with suppliers
• Organize, perform and coordinate audits of quality management systems and operational procedures throughout Acciona Windpower or a supplier organization and report results and recommend opportunities for improvement
• Provide training, facilitation and support in the utilization of quality systems, processes, policies and practices as it relates to suppliers
• Responsible for continuous measurable performance improvement of suppliers assigned or assigned internal departments
• Employ statistical analysis to analyze methods of inspection, testing and product quality, and evaluate records and prepare reports to internal departments and management indicating results, conclusions and recommendations of suppliers or internal processes
• Perform supplier qualification audits and parts qualification tests
• Support manufacturing safety to provide an adequate and safe working environment
• Lead the resolution of quality problems through disciplined problem solving methods
• Liaison with our Quality/Production/Post Sales teams in Spain regarding design changes/manufacturing issues/wind turbine functional issues
• Generate and present periodic reports to the senior management team
• Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelors in technical or engineering field (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent work experience; Masters Degree preferred
• ASQE Certified and Certified ISO auditor preferred
• Must demonstrate understanding of international and domestic supplier relations
• Demonstrated ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints
• Excellent computer skills to include MS Office, Minitab or other statistical analysis programs
• Must possess a thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes (production, logistics, and engineering) and quality assurance principles
• Experience in the areas of statistical methods, FMEA, DOE, ANOVA and variance analysis and process qualifications
• Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels internally and with supplier leadership
• Represent the company in a professional manner when dealing with domestic and international suppliers
• Demonstrated ability to manage several activities/projects at once, organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, and prepare plans and reports
