The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is a key role within the QA group that is part of a large and growing multi-region Digital Media Organization. The core responsibility of the QA group and this role is to promote the highest level of quality for all products produced by our organization. From a product perspective, the core focus of this role is on sports-based web sites and products. Our QA resources collaborate with our broad set of teams including frontend and backend development, engineering, design, and product management resources as parting of the testing process. This type of collaboration allows for exposure to all aspects of the web development process


The QA Engineer is responsible for validating the quality of our web priorities based on the assignment of products/projects

Participate in preparation of test documentation (test strategy and test cases)

Plan and execute functional and non-functional tests, report and manage software issues

Analyse a wide variety of issues both individually and with team members and provide findings

Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, and QA schedule issues

Basic Qualifications
B.E /M.Tech or any other Computer related degree

Preferred Education

Database knowledge is preferable

User Acceptance –Entire Web Domain

Experience with various browser tools (HTTPWatch, HTTPFirebug, Charles, etc)

Exposure to the following technologies: HTML , XML, Java, Grails(some of which in an agile environment )

Understanding of and practical experience of vulnerabilities or/and security issues of web based products

Understanding of various exploit method like SQL injection, cross site scripting and experience in Web site front end performance testing

An understanding of web analytics (preferred tool: Omniture Site Catalyst

Required Education

Testing experience with web site, web applications, and/or API testing experience

Self-motivated individual with the ability to think analytically and diagnose issues

Experienced in defining and executing appropriate test strategies

Manual Testing experience

Experience in automation testing preferably Selenium and scripting is an added advantage

Experience writing and executing test cases and scripting

UI functionality and non-functionality required

Defect management experience

Additional Information

Candidates should have the following skill sets:
Experience in Manual testing on web portal .

HTML, CSS, Mysql, Open source tools, web analytics, Automation, Preferably Selenium

Experience level- 3+ years to 5 years
