Represents IT as the Quality Assurance Manager/Liaison including managing the Quality Assurance IT testing team. Responsible for understanding all applications, data and business processes and associated technologies to support QA testing.

Manage the day to day testing activities of highly integrated systems for the IT organization.

Manage/lead a testing team comprising of on-site, off-site, and offshore resources.

Identify and implement opportunities for process and test system improvements and efficiencies.

Manage and configure the test management system.

Define and report testing metrics at varying levels of detail.

Coordinate testing activities with PMs, BAs, Developers, and Testers.

Work closely with PMs and BAs to ensure testability of requirements.

Work with PMs and BAs to assess dependencies, impacts, and risks of projects/change requests.

Provide estimates of testing effort and resources for specific projects.

Provide status of test planning, execution, defects, etc. to appropriate stakeholders.

Work closely with development managers, VPs, and other leadership to improve internal processes and environments.

Manage multiple testing, simultaneous priorities.

Provides technical leadership with regards to test philosophies and methodologies, practices, and procedures.

Complies with all guidelines established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and guidelines set forth by other regulatory agencies, where applicable, and defined in the Universal American Corporate and department policies.

And all other duties assigned by manager or supervisor.

Required Experience

Bachelor's degree in MIS or other IT-Business related program

Minimum 3 years of managing or leading testing teams

Extensive experience with common testing methodologies, best practices, etc.

Demonstrated experience in an enterprise IT environment with multiple integrated systems

Basic understanding of strategic alignment of IT solutions with business objectives

Experience working in the Healthcare industry

Experience with HP Quality Center and/or Quick Test Pro

Demonstrated experience in different development lifecycle methodologies

Personal computer experience should include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook at an intermediate level at a minimum
