We are currently seeking a Quality Automation Engineer who will help ensure all of our products meet our high standards of security, functionality, and robustness.

As a Jiff°s Quality Automation Engineer you will be responsible for:
  • Helping drive the Automation strategy throughout the Engineering organization
  • Automate the execution of Rspec unit tests and Capybara integration tests for Rails web and API applications
  • Maintain a CI (continuous integration) environment
  • Automate UI testing framework for iOS apps
  • Writing system and feature-based test plans from architectural functional specifications
  • Manually executing complex test plans with an understanding of how to build new coverage into the existing Automation test suite
  • Collaborate with development organization to understand how development changes affect ongoing Automation efforts
  • Provide test coverage analysis based on automation results

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • BS or MS Degree in CS/EE or equivalent
  • Experience testing RESTful API
  • Experience testing Mobile Applications, including iOS
  • Minimum 2 years experience scripting language (Ruby, Python, Jython, Bash, or similar) in test automation
  • Familiarity and/or experience with QA Automation Tools (RSpec, Capybara, Selenium, JUnit, Parasoft SOATest, IBM Rational, HP QuickTest, or similar tools)
  • Understanding of relational databases (MySQL) and SQL querying tools
  • Experience with white-box testing techniques
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Knowledge of static code analysis tools and penetration / vulnerability testing a significant plus
  • Experience in a regulated environment (SAS70, HIPAA, FDA 510k or PMA) also a significant plus
