Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, the Quality Control Chemist will be responsible for daily laboratory testing of raw materials, in process and finished goods.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1-5 years experience with raw material, in process, and finished goods testing
cGMP proper testing documentation
Perform chemical testing using analytical instrumentation including HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-VIS, etc.
Troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation and administer simple repairs as needed
Adhere to the regulatory systems as relates to laboratory operations (i.e. cGMP compliance, training)
USP or EP testing experience
HS diploma or equivalent required. BS in Chemistry or closely related field desired. Equivalent experience in pharmaceutical laboratory will be considered in lieu of chemistry degree.
Some experience in laboratory testing environment
GMP experience or knowledge is beneficial
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficient in windows based computer environment including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs
