¨ College degree in business or a related field
¨ Minimum of 5 years experience in mortgage banking, with a thorough understanding of quality control, underwriting, regulations and internal audit procedures.
¨ Must possess strong underwriting skills and knowledge of regulations and procedures.
¨ Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Description:
¨ Coordinates a portion of the quality control function through the use of a third party that performs various direct tests and reviews.
¨ Reviews loan files to ensure adherence to processing, underwriting, and closing guidelines. Assesses the soundness of previous decisions and reports on findings.
¨ Reviews various servicing functions to ensure compliance with the various investor guidelines
¨ Must adhere to pertinent laws, regulations, First Niagara’s Compliance Policy and external compliance requirements.
