JOB TITLE: Quality Control Inspector


HOURS 2:30 PM - 10:45 PM Second Shift

Trial period will be on First Shift

RATE OF PAY Grade 6 Plus $.35/hr. Shift Bonus

POSITION SUMMARY: Perform statistical quality control inspections including measuring with precision tools and equipment and provide detailed documentation.

Ability to read, understand and interpret blue prints, shop drawings and inspection documents.

Ability to calculate using basic math techniques primarily fractions and decimals. (reading, writing, and converting)

Operates various pieces of equipment for precision measuring. Utilizing measuring equipment, including but not limited to various hand tools, gages, and electronic measuring equipment (OGP etc.)

Completes necessary forms and maintains detailed quality records per GTC/CUSTOMER procedures,

Must collaborate and communicate with other departmental supervisors and work station personnel.

Performs miscellaneous duties in Quality Control, such as performing audits of documents, product, receiving / incoming inspection of product (finished /semi finished), final shipping inspection of product

(visual, dimensional, recording data on the proper documents as required per customer requirements and as directed by supervisor / manager)and audit processes to assure compliance with all requirements.

7. Maintains good housekeeping in the work area.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in positions requiring long periods of sitting.

Ability to work in positions requiring frequent reaching.

Ability to work in positions requiring continuous grasping and repetitive movements.

Ability to carry up to 15 lbs. without the use of mechanical devices.

Ability to work in position requiring occasional pushing, pulling, twisting, stooping and kneeling.

Ability to work in positions requiring occasional wearing of personal protective equipment such as

Hearing protection

Eye protection

Foot protection

Lab coats required

Clean room garments as required

7. Visual Activity Requirement: Good vision meeting GTC vision testing requirements.

Required Skills

Prefer High School diploma or equivalent.

Various computer functions will be performed using, but not limited to SAP, Lotus Notes, Excel, and Word.

Ability to exercise careful attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and make decisions within the scope of this job description
