Overview/Risks:

Provide testing support for the Technical Operations, Production, Quality and Research &Development Operations of the MTF facilities. Support tissue release by way of general biological and analytical chemistry assays and physical testing of allograft material.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs general chemical and physical testing, including but not limited to: residual calcium assays on demineralized bone samples, residual moisture assays on various musculoskeletal tissue forms and dermis tissues, penetrometry of matrixed materials, pH of matrixed materials, incubation of biological indicators used for autoclave sterilization, total organic carbon (TOC) analysis of the purified water system, package seal strength integrity of finished goods packaging, preparation of sterile filtered solutions, chemical concentration determination, extrudability evaluation of matrixed materials and HPLC analysis.
  • Performs record keeping for all test analysis in compliance with cGLP, cGMP guidelines.
  • Cleans and packages materials and supplies for autoclaving and performs other routine laboratory maintenance.
  • Assists on special projects and performs additional duties as assigned.


  • Qualifications:

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in biology or biochemistry, or minimum two years of college and two years of industry experience.

    Experience:

    Minimum of two years of industry experience

    Specific Licenses and/or Certifications:

    N/A

    Specialized Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities*:

    Working knowledge of basic laboratory procedures, equipment, and instruments.

    Working knowledge of aseptic procedures.

    Good organizational ability, good communication skills, and ability to work independently as well as with others.

    Basic computer skills, specifically with Excel and Word.
