Viacom’s Core Services Team is hiring a Quality Control Project Manager with a proven record to join our team. The Quality Control Project Manager reports to the Senior Director CORE Services. The role of this position will focus on the improvement and upkeep of Viacom’s New York City properties. The job requires the ability identify and implement strategies on a daily basis to ensure the highest quality of aesthetic and maintenance standards. This position is responsible for the implementation and management of the Core Services Quality Control Program, including the coordination, performance and execution of maintenance inspections and services for the department. The QC Manager is responsible for assuring that the quality of the work exceeds the requirements, and maintains the standard of excellence required by Viacom.

  • Ensure aesthetics and equipment are properly maintained across New York City Viacom properties (specifically 1515 Broadway) including but not limited to: maintenance upkeep, furniture, public space, and office areas
  • Coordinate repairs with in house maintenance Director and vendors
  • Manage facilities projects i.e. mechanical upgrades and small renovations
  • Coordinate with the maintenance staff and vendors that provide support to employee population at multiple locations
  • Oversee preventative maintenance vendors implement procedures, policies and frequencies. Ensure that Viacom Facilities procedures are being adhered to
  • Provide quality control inspection and develop reports related to work being performed by maintenance staff as dictated by established maintenance schedules
  • Maintain supply inventories to ensure that the members of the maintenance staff are properly equipped to perform their job functions
  • Review services being provided by vendors on a daily basis and develop daily report indicating quality of work being provided
  • Supervise labor for special projects and events to ensure all facilities services are being provided
  • Provide support to Production events, inclusive of, but not limited to, the MTV Studio and Productions
  • Act as Liaison with building management to ensure the guidelines in our lease are being adhered to in relation to these events and interaction with both Viacom and Landlord Security personnel will be required
  • Under the direction of the Facilities Senior Director, coordinate special variances using Viacom’s code consultant when Temporary Certificates of Occupancy are required, adhering to Viacom CORE Services guidelines
  • Interact with Core Services Security, private Talent Security, and the NYPD paid detail personnel for the movement of talent to and from the facility. Schedule load ins/outs of special scenic elements in the MTV Studio when delivered through the main lobby during business and non-business hours
  • The duties listed above are not all inclusive; The Quality Control Manager will follow other instructions and perform other related duties as requested by the Supervisor
  • 5-7 years’ experience in Project management\Facilities Management
  • Excellent technical skills i.e.; Word, Excel, Photshop, Illustrator and Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
  • Design, Architectural and Construction experience required
  • Must have project management, architecture or related experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing staff (a plus)
  • Strong problem-solving, listening and communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, verbal and written
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
  • Very detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills
  • Must be able to prioritize, anticipate needs, and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to speak clearly and exercise good judgment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work with and coordinate effectively with subcontractors, superintendents, engineering staff, consultants and owner’s representatives
  • Ability to record and organize all necessary documentation to memorialize the implementation, maintenance and effectiveness of the Quality Control Program
