POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for maintaining the quality and reliability of products and services. Reviewing the outcome of the operational processes at various stages to ensure accuracy of transactions and customer satisfaction. Identifying root cause of low quality processes and lead the development of corrective action plans and provide training sessions tailored to users’ needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with operational supervisors to identify opportunities for improvement in terms of quality and accuracy of transactions
  • Develop appropriate operational metrics and reports such as: turnaround times of claims processing and policy approval/issuance
  • Review and score outcome of existing processes to measure the productivity and quality of the team
  • Support operational supervisors in identifying and tracking productivity goals for their team members on a consistent basis
  • Evaluate quality control data in order to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions
  • Create corrective action plans with supervisors in order to improve quality
  • Establish testing procedures in coordination with operational supervisors
  • Document test results
  • Develop training sessions for team members tailored to their specific needs
  • Coordinate initiatives and projects with other leading functions in Sales and Operations departments.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • More than 3 years of experience in the quality control area
  • Experience working with MS Applications (Visio, Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Access) and Internet Resources
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent business writing skills
  • Detailed oriented and structured
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Entrepreneurial and results-oriented approach
  • High degree of social skills
  • Ability to handle conflict
  • Excellent organization skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Health Insurance or equivalent experience
  • Practical experience in insurance business operations
  • Experience in project management
  • Six Sigma certification/studies is a plus

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE:
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish
